Spring is finally here and that's a pretty amazing thing in Oregon! It's light until 7, the birds are back and everything is starting to bud and bloom.
We're having so much fun with our little guy we couldn't wait to put up the latest pictures and video of him. He turned 5 months on March 20th and he couldn't be healthier. We marked the occasion by introducing him to his first solid foods which has been quite an adventure. There is nothing like the free entertainment a toddler will give you, never ending laughs all the time.
He's just starting to cut his first teeth which has been hard for him but he's doing great...won't be long and we'll have video of him eating cheerios (and feeding the dogs at the same time!)
We're anticipating that he'll be crawling in the next couple of weeks. He's getting up and into position...any day now! He's wearing 9 month old clothes and we're convinced that he grows so much in his sleep that we can see it in the morning. He's quite the talker now too, it's obvious he knows exactly what he's saying it's just us who have to figure it out.
We hope you enjoy our latest addition.
Love,
Matt, Corrin, & Malachi

February Fun
The month of February was a busy one for us! We enjoyed spending time with a lot of family and friends. Malachi got to meet his (great) Aunt Linda and cousins Nate & Hunter. We went to the Sweet's for dinner and had a wonderful night! Dad & Mom Auer & Aunt Kayla came up the first weekend to go to cousin Lauren's graduation from the culinary institute. She had been staying with us on the weekends since May of 2008 while she attended the school. We were proud to see her graduate and miss her company.
Dad and Mom Dawson came over one Saturday and we ended up spending the day walking around the nursery next door and at lunch, we even tried our luck at powerball and keno but we're not winners (yet)! The next morning they came back for breakfast with us...it was great to have such a special improptu weekend with them.
Dad & Mom Coker joined us for a Valentine's dinner which was an enjoyable evening. They left the following week for a trip to Hawaii, we're still waiting for the sun they ordered to be shipped our way.
Our friend Sierra and godson Tazman (3) started coming to the house on Tuesday and Friday mornings to watch Malachi which has been great stimulation for him. I know what people mean now when they say "kids know kids".
Corrin is still trying to transisition into working from home two days a week but we're not quite there. Matt is doing well with work, we're thankful that his workload hasn't slowed despite the lacking economy. Malachi is getting closer and closer to crawling and changes daily. Our lives are a mix of blessings, joy, family, friends, and wonderful memories day by day.
We love you all and can't wait to see you soon!
